A series of 5 run and walk events in the Temiskaming area, fundraising for local community organizations promoting healthy, active lifestyles.



Dates & Locations:
Sun May 9, 2010: Dymond Ball Park
Sat June 19, 2010: Pete’s Dam Park
Sun Aug 29, 2010: Haileybury Waterfront
Sat Oct 2, 2010: Temiskaming Nordic Ski Club
Sat Nov 27, 2010: Chilly Runs: New Liskeard Pool & Fitness Center

Events:
100m toddler dash (under 5)
1km kids run or walk (under 12)
5km run or walk (all ages)
10km run or walk (all ages)


Start Times:
9:30am for toddler dash
9:40am for kids 1km
10:00am for 5km & 10km


Entry Fees:
$5.00 for 100m and 1km
$10.00 for 5km and 10km
(Your complete entry fee will go to your selected
fundraising beneficiary & the school challenge)

Registration:
Pre-Registration at The Running Link,
166 Armstrong St, New Liskeard
Race Day Registration at location between 8:30am-9:30am


TShirts:
Technical Event T-Shirts will be available to
purchase by order only. See the registration
table at any of the events for details to order.

Awards & Prizes:
Completion certificates for each participant
Participation door prizes drawn at each event
Medals to all participants who attend at least 4 out of the 5 events
End of series awards to top 3 male & female in each age category
(overall, <19, 20-34, 35-49, 50+)


Series Spaghetti Dinner/Awards Banquet:
Thursday December 2, 2010
6:00pm at Riverside Place, New Liskeard

2010 Fundraising Beneficiaries:
STATO (South Temiskaming Active Travel Organization
Temiskaming Nordic Ski Club
Temiskaming Northern Loons Swim Club


School Challenge:
The elementary or secondary school with the most participation
(percentage of school population), calculated at the end of the series will receive 10% of all funds
raised to go towards their physical education programming.

Fitness Center Challenge:
The local fitness center with the most member participation
(Curves, Slim’n’Shape or Pool & Fitness Center), calculated at the end of the series, will receive
bragging rights and a plaque to be displayed at their center until the following year.
